Assurance Associates​

Responsibilities

  • Assist in carrying out quality audits and other assurance services to clients across multiple industries
  • Assist in-charge in obtaining all necessary audit working papers and documentation including researching and documenting facts and findings
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities
  • Interact with clients to help ensure that the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient

Requirements

  • Graduates with an Accountancy degree or equivalent professional qualification in Accountancy
  • Accountancy undergraduates in the final year of study are welcome to apply
  • Graduates with non-accountancy degrees who are keen to pursue qualification as Singapore Chartered Accountant are also welcome to apply

 

Corporate Secretarial Associates

Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate secretarial support for clients
  • Assist in corporate secretarial assignments, ACRA BizFile e-stamping
  • Assist in the application of passes-related assignments
  • Perform Know Your Customer due diligence requirements
  • Assist in other ad-hoc secretarial administrative assignments

Requirements

  • Accountancy/Business/Legal Studies or related disciplines
  • Team player with good initiative and strong interpersonal skills

Governance & Risk Consultants

Responsibilities

  • Executing internal audits, enterprise risk assessments, sustainability reporting, and other consulting engagements
  • Client service & meeting project deadlines

Requirements

  • Degree in accountancy, business, or other related disciplines

Tax Associates

Transfer Pricing

Responsibilities

You will be supporting the Partner and Manager teams in servicing clients in relation to their tax needs in the area of transfer pricing. Our transfer pricing services include:

    • Design of cross-border supply chain models
    • Implement pricing policies from a commercial perspective
    • Perform industry-specific economic analysis
    • Support clients in handling their tax controversies
    • Develop strong relationships with our clients and with our colleagues, both internally and across the Baker Tilly International Network.
    • Work with colleagues internally and across the globe in relation to proposals and delivering on tax projects in transfer pricing.
    • Provide support in relation to marketing activities such as seminars, webcasts, and business development collaterals.

GST

Responsibilities

You will be supporting the Partner and Manager teams in servicing clients in relation to their tax needs in the area of GST. Our GST services include:

    • Advise clients on the GST implications and applicable treatment of their business transactions (e.g., new business arrangements, cross-border transactions)
    • Assist clients with the application of GST registration, exemption, and GST schemes
    • Assist clients with the review and e-filing of GST returns
    • Conduct GST health check reviews, GST due diligence reviews, Assisted Self Help Kit (ASK) reviews, Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews
    • Assist clients in managing IRAS GST audits/investigations
    • Assist clients in seeking GST rulings from IRAS
    • Work with colleagues internally and across the globe in relation to proposals and delivering on tax projects in GST.
    • Provide support in relation to marketing activities such as seminars, webcasts, and business development collaterals​

Income Tax

Responsibilities

You will be supporting the Partner and Manager teams in servicing clients in relation to their tax needs in the area of income tax. Our income tax services include:

    • Assist clients with the preparation, review, and e-filing of their income tax returns (and organising the necessary information request flows, documentation, and research needs)
    • Assisting in fulfilment of clients’ income tax advisory needs in relation to their business transactions (e.g., new business arrangements, cross-border transactions)
    • Assist in fulfilment of clients’ income tax advisory needs on tax structuring matters and conducting income tax due diligence reviews (typically in M&A situations)
    • Assist clients in managing IRAS queries/audits
    • Assist clients in seeking income tax rulings/clarifications from IRAS
    • Develop strong relationships with our clients and with our colleagues, both internally and across the Baker Tilly International Network.
    • Work with colleagues internally and across the globe in relation to proposals and delivering on tax projects.
    • Provide support in relation to marketing activities such as seminars, webcasts, and business development collaterals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fields
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong written/ verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to details
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic

 

Deal Advisory Consultants

Responsibilities
You will be given the opportunity to be a part of our deal advisory team that provides transaction advisory solutions such as due diligence and valuation.

  • Contributing directly to the development of proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Performing in-depth client, industry, market, and competitor research
  • Due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions
  • Providing valuation analysis across various industries using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
  • Develop appropriate financial models and document findings in a clear and concise manner
  • Communication with clients to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service

Requirements

  • Ideally a degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Finance or Engineering
  • An advanced degree in financial engineering or related fields is a plus
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent written/ verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment with all levels of personnel

 

Outsourcing Associates

Responsibilities

  • Handle full or partial sets of accounts, GST, and compliance matters
  • Assist to maintain and administer accounting matters for the portfolio of clients
  • Timely preparation of accounts and financial reports to comply with the clients’ policies and statutory requirements
  • Responsible for the full spectrum of payroll functions in relation to the portfolio of clients (monthly CPF contribution, IR8A tax submission)
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required by the Outsourcing Department

Requirements

  • Fresh graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, ISCA, ACCA, or other equivalent professional qualifications
  • Applicants with one year of relevant experience are welcomed to apply
  • Good command of the English language
  • Possess strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
  • Meticulous and organised individual with strong initiatives
  • Proactive in problem-solving
  • Positive working attitude and willingness to learn
  • Candidates with relevant two years or more accounting/outsourcing working experience will be considered for the Senior Associate position

 

Restructuring & Recovery Consultants

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Partner/Manager, you will have hands-on involvement in managing restructuring and insolvency activities for new and existing clientele. This will entail various modes of Liquidation, Judicial Management, Receiverships, Scheme of Arrangement and individual bankruptcy amongst other responsibilities
  • You will also be exposed to ad-hoc projects undertaken by the department like crisis management and other corporate advisory activities
  • You are expected to be versatile, to have the desire to excel in a fast-paced working environment as well as to be proactive in managing clients and problem-solving
  • You should be prepared to work accurately under time pressure and manage multiple commitments while displaying excellent interpersonal skills and confidence when interacting with others
  • In addition to the above, lead consultants should be equipped with the ability to lead and execute engagements independently with minimal input from the Partner/Manager while providing guidance to team members

Requirements

  • A degree or professional qualification in accounting
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
  • Relevant experience is a requisite for the lead consultant role
