Baker Tilly’s client, Spackman Entertainment Group Limited, successfully listed on the Catalist Board
Singapore, 22 July 2014 – Baker Tilly TFW successfully assisted its client, Spackman Entertainment Group Limited, one of Korea’s leading theatrical film production groups, to list on the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST). Baker Tilly TFW performed the role of a reporting accountant and auditor for the Group.
Mr Joshua Ong, who led the IPO engagement shares,
“We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Spackman to achieve this milestone. We look forward to the continuing relationship and wish that its business will reach new heights in the near future.”
He added, “We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Collins Barrow Toronto, who have established a good relationship with Spackman, and referred them to us. During the working engagements with Spackman, we earned their trust and confidence, which further cemented the client relationship with Baker Tilly International member firms.”
Spackman, the first Korean film production firm to conduct its IPO in Singapore, chose to list in Singapore as it believes investors here will be receptive to the South Korean entertainment market.
Spackman intends to use the net proceeds of approximately SGD $10.84 million to boost film investment, expand its portfolio of film production brands, and establish offices in Los Angeles and Singapore.
